January Music in the Vines

Wood-fired pizzas, sausage sandwiches and picnic hampers will be available to purchase to complement our free wine tastings.

Bring your picnic blanket, sit back and relax! Dressing up in your best Aussie gear is encouraged.

Please note that this is a family-friendly event however pets are not permitted.  Also, due to licensing restrictions, this is not a BYO event.

Joadja Vineyards and Winery has been sold

On Monday May 16 2016, Kim & Frances will hand over ownership of Joadja Winery to the Maloy and Toomey families.
We wish them all the very best in their new venture. They intend to continue with the “Live Music” concerts and many of the features the Winery has become famous for over the years. May they have many happy times and great Vintages!
We also wish to thank all our wonderful customers for without your support and encouragement over the years, we couldn’t have done it at all. It been great fun, and a pleasure making wine for you and talking and meeting with you all.

Performing traditional Irish acoustic music: Reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas and rebel songs.

Gigs in the last 2 years include the MONA Museum in Hobart, Aras Eanna (Inis Oírr Ireland), Marrickville Cultural Festival, Folk By The Sea Kiama and Illawarra Folk Festival, Nolan on Lovel Gallery Katoomba, Joadja Winery, Kelly’s Newtown, Penrith Panthers, Chado Hobart, The Irish Society Ceilidh Wollongong, The Lark Distillery Hobart.

Evelyn Finnerty from Blarney, Cork, Ireland is on vocals and violin, a master of traditional Irish music and well known around the traps as a dervish on the fiddle playing regularly with many Irish artists.

Alan Healy was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is a highly regarded exponent of the bodhran, tenor banjo and guitar, a stalwart of Sydney’s Irish music scene and an Irish scholar specializing in Joyce and Beckett. Alan has been involved in the art world for some 30 years and has exhibited and performed with Australian and international artists.

Jim (Seamus) Moginie (Midnight Oil, The Break) we all know as a legend of Australian Rock on vocals, guitar, bouzouki, ukelele and harmonium. Jim has been in Ireland performing many times in recent years and is deeply immersed in the traditional music of Ireland.

Bird (Mental As Anything) on bodhran and drum kit, Bird played on all the Mentals greatest hits.
